The company Andreas Loeffler Mikroendoskopie, in short ALMIKRO, has been founded in April 1995 by Andreas Loeffler. Thanks to his long-term experience the founder already had in developing flexible endoscopes, the company already started at a very beneficial market position.
In 1997 ALMIKRO fused with the new founded company "medisecur AG" but due to operational reasons a separation proceeded in 2001.
In 1998 the quality-system EN ISO 9001 was launched and certified. This quality-system has been fully revised in 2003 and newly certified to EN ISO 9001/2000, EN ISO 13485 as well as guideline 93/42 EWG.
In August 2005 the previous individual enterprise was transformed into a GmbH & Co. KG along with the divestment of a 60% share of the company to Karl Storz GmbH & Co. KG in Tuttlingen.
In 2010 the company expanded into a new company building in Falkensteinerstrasse 40.
In 2019 the remaining 40% share of the company were divested to Karl Storz SE & Co. KG and Mischa Heuchele is appointed as the second CEO.
2020: Mischa Heuchele represents ALMIRKO GmbH & Co. KG as the mere CEO.
ALMIKRO concentrates on the developing, production and distribution of innovative products from the section of endoscopy for human medicine as well as industrial usage.
Our range includes first and foremost flexible and rigid micro endoscopes with a diameter between 0.3mm and 3.0 mm.
We are ambitious to open up new possibilities for the human medicine in terms of diagnostic and also therapeutical methods.
Due to the integration of work and rinsing channels into our micro endoscopes it is possible to exert various therapeutical procedures with vision.
The modular construction of our endoscopes enables the creation of endoscopes for new fields of application in a very short time while also dropping the price of production even for a small quantity.
